O-Works Red and Black Putters: What You Need To Know

Our new O-Works Red and O-Works Black Putters look great, and our Tour pros absolutely love them. We’re pumped to get these new models out to golfers everywhere starting August 4th. Here’s what you need to know.

Inspired By The Tour

The Odyssey R&D team is constantly working on prototype designs with our Tour players. We rely heavily on detailed player feedback at every stage from the earliest prototypes to the final retail product, if it meets our incredibly high standards.

And in this case a number of our Tour staffers asked us to build either a red or black head shape with a clean, simple look at address, and both of these finishes have been popular on Tour. In player testing, we found that our staffers really liked these head colors and putted well with them. In our experience, we’ve seen that if a putter setup helps Tour players, it can certainly help regular golfers too, and that’s how O-Works Red and Black evolved from initial.

Awesome New Head Shapes

For head shapes: the O-Works Red includes some of our most shapes of all-time: our iconic 2-Ball, and the #7. The 2-Ball is the best-selling head shape ever, and both of these models have dominated Tour events and major championships for years. We’re also introducing an innovative alternative on the #7 model, featuring a short slant neck hosel. This hosel promotes more toe hang, which is a trend we’re seeing a lot lately with our pros.

The O-Works Black introduces an impressive lineup of new head shapes, including the #3T, a short slant neck version of our popular #7 head, and a center-shafted #2 mallet shape. It’s just another example of our commitment to relentless innovation.

Incredible Roll From Our Revolutionary Microhinge Insert

Odyssey has set the standard for insert innovation since we introduced our legendary White Hot, and now we’ve reached an unprecedented level of performance with Microhinge. This insert technology has proven itself on Tour from the first time Phil Mickelson put it into play three months before we even launched it, and it’s created a new way to roll for pros and amateurs alike. Our R&D department focused on the effect of the insert and getting the ball into a better roll at impact.

How To Describe These Putters In One Sentence

O-Works Red and O-Works Black are the result of working extensively with the world’s best players to combine a clean look with quicker roll from our Microhinge Face Insert to help you make more putts.
