Callaway Dominated The LPGA and Champions Tour Driver Counts

Jeff Newton

We hit two major milestones on Tour last weekend. For the first time IN 15 YEARS, we won the driver count on the Champions Tour. And on the LPGA Tour, we crushed the count with 55 drivers in play (no other brand had more than 32).

The validation for our new Rogue Drivers and Jailbreak Technology has been astounding. And as you’ll see in a second, the performance speaks for itself.

By The Numbers

– We won the driver count on the Champions Tour because almost 90% of the players who used our drivers were NOT on our staff. They chose Callaway simply because it was the best for their game.

– Of the 55 drivers in play on the LPGA Tour, 54 had Jailbreak Technology. We only had 6 Callaway staffers, meaning that 49 players used our drivers solely based on performance.

– We were also the #1 Fairway Wood brand, #1 Hybrid Brand, #1 Iron Brand, and #1 Putter Brand (Odyssey) on both the LPGA and Champions Tours.

Why Jailbreak Works

Tour players are going Rogue because of Jailbreak. In Rogue Drivers, the hourglass-shaped Jailbreak bars stiffen the body, which allows the face to take on more impact load for faster ball speed.

And it makes it possible for us to engineer our new X-Face VFT face architecture, which also promotes faster ball speed across an expansive area of the face. Bottom line: more ball speed and more forgiveness is a combination that every golfer wants, even the best players in the world.
